Fun Run!!

It’s April! Summer beckons! New Year’s Resolutions may be a distant memory but never fear – Active School Week is here!

As you aware the school has really embraced the Daily Mile Initiative this year as part of our commitment to promote a healthy, happy and active lifestyle.

As part of the school’s “Active School Flag” initiative, your child will be participating in a Fun Run on Friday 27th April 2018 during Active School Week.

The Fun Run will take place in Lough Lannagh at 11.30 am together with the pupils from St. Patrick’s Boys National School and with the support of Parkrun Ireland and Mayo Sports Partnership.

We would like to invite you to come along and support the children in this run.

To allow everything to run smoothly and in the interests of health and safety, parents are asked to adhere to the following:

 Children must be dressed in full school tracksuit and runners.

 As the activity is outdoor, children must bring raingear or wear sun cream depending on the weather!

 Remember to have a good breakfast and to bring an extra drink.

 Children attend school as normal and return with teacher following the run to school.  All children and adults must co-operate with the stewards on the day.
